Electrical Pricing & Rates
At Lektrix Installations Ltd, we believe in clear and transparent pricing, with no hidden charges. Our electricians provide reliable electrical work offering straightforward hourly rates alongside fixed prices for specialist services such as EICR landlord certificates, PAT testing, fire alarm testing and emergency lighting inspections. All pricing is subject to VAT and any materials required for the work.
Standard Hourly Rates
Our standard pricing applies across most working areas and covers domestic, landlord and commercial electrical work, including repairs, installations, fuseboard upgrades and EV charging point installation.
Our rates are as follows:
- £90 + VAT for the first hour
- £22.50 + VAT per additional 15 minutes
- Half-day rate (up to 4 hours): £300 + VAT
- Full-day rate (up to 8 hours): £450 + VAT
- Plus the cost of any materials used
These rates give you flexibility for smaller jobs while offering excellent value for longer installations or multiple tasks completed during a single visit.
North of the River Rates:
For work carried out north of the River Thames, alternative rates apply to cover extended travel and logistics.
North of the river pricing:
- £160 + VAT for the first hour
- £90 + VAT per hour thereafter
- No half-day rate available
- Full-day rate (up to 8 hours): £600 + VAT
- Plus the cost of any materials used
These rates apply to all electrical work, including commercial installations.
Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
Our EICR landlord certificates are carried out for rental properties, homes and commercial buildings to ensure installations meet current regulations.
Pricing:
- £180 + VAT for up to 5 circuits
- £20 + VAT per additional circuit
- If north of the river add an extra £70 + VAT
We provide a full written report and a quotation for any required remedial work to bring the installation up to compliance.
Discount available:
- 10% discount if a valid previous EICR certificate can be provided.
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)
We provide PAT testing for landlords, offices, schools, hospitality premises and rental properties to confirm the safety of portable appliances.
PAT testing prices:
- £75 + VAT for up to 10 items
- £100 + VAT for up to 30 items
- Over 30 items and up to 200 £1.70 + VAT per item
- Over 200 items 0.98p + VAT per item
All tested items are labelled clearly, and full certification is included.
Fire Alarm Testing & Commissioning
We offer full testing and commissioning of existing fire alarm systems to confirm correct operation and compliance.
Service cost:
- £245 + VAT
This includes a complete system inspection, testing of devices and control panels, and the issue of certification. Any necessary remedial work will be quoted separately. Full access to all areas containing fire alarm equipment is required during the inspection.
Bi-Annual Fire Alarm Testing
For ongoing compliance, we carry out six-monthly fire alarm system testing to ensure your alarms operate as required.
Bi-annual test cost:
- £145 + VAT
Reports are issued following completion, noting the system condition and any recommended actions.
Emergency Lighting Testing
Emergency lighting must be inspected regularly to ensure correct function during power outages.
Pricing:
- Annual full-duration discharge test: £190 + VAT per installation
- Monthly functional check: £45 + VAT per installation
- 6 monthly operational discharge test of one hour £85 + VAT per installation
The monthly function check should be completed by a competent person and can be carried out by the property owner or management team if preferred.
Fire Risk Assessments (FRA)
We provide professional Fire Risk Assessments for businesses, rental properties and multi-occupancy buildings to help meet legal obligations.
Fire Risk Assessment price:
- £225 + VAT
A formal written report is provided with practical recommendations to reduce risk and improve compliance.
Fire Extinguisher Testing
Our electricians carry out professional fire extinguisher testing to ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
Testing cost:
- £90 + VAT
All certification is issued following the inspection.
Certification & Compliance
All testing and inspections carried out by Lektrix Installations Ltd include the correct certification. This applies to:
- EICR landlord certificates
- PAT testing certificates
- Fire alarm system reports
- Emergency lighting test records
- Fire Risk Assessment documentation
Certificates are supplied promptly following completion of testing.
